Why Have Battle Royale Games Lost Their Thrill?

Oh Yeah, Battle Royales are Dead!

It seems that, even though you are jumping again and again on the same map, every time something different is happening, sometimes you are dying in the air, sometimes you will finish number two by the end, sometimes by camping. You will become the winner only by getting one or two kills, so every match was different which kept the games of this generation fresh, due to which the popularity of battle royale games was increasing.

Lots of Battle Royale games

When  many battle royale games were made, think about what happened to all this, didn’t the market get crowded, every company was thinking of making such games because everyone wanted success, and everyone wanted their game to sell millions or Reach millions of people. Since the trend of battle royale is going on, the developers are not thinking ahead

Problem with Gamers

Now see what happens people don’t adopt a new game if we don’t do something we always feel shy, that is if we keep doing one thing it becomes a habit and the most difficult thing to do is to change that habit. Maybe something similar is happening with our Indian gamers, today most of the gamers who play either BGMI or free-fire have started playing games recently not that they have been playing games for a long time. or if they are playing, they must have played only casual mobile games. It has become our habit that the concept of a game should have no rules, no story, just simple, some guns with their attachments, a free-to-play game of all kinds and it should end and There should be no need to think too much.

But When We See Games like Apex Legends, in which you will have to remember the abilities of the character. The way of playing the game will change according to the abilities,  then all the guns are completely new, their mechanism are different, and even the characters also have backstories. Then you will say, leave it, why use your brain so much? Anyway, in learning a new game and understanding its mechanics, it probably takes a week to a month to master it. Maybe this is why games like COD Mobile are not so popular in India.

Copy & Paste: Recipe for a New Game

Most Game Developers follow the same concept that players will jump from the plane, players get a jet pack or a skateboard. After that, players will have to find guns on the map. In some games, you get them randomly scattered, while in some games, there are proper loot boxes. After that, will you fight with the opposite player? You will go here and there on the map, you will see people coming in front of you, you will avoid them and finally, after killing everyone, the player or the squad left will become the winner. This is a simple concept. In almost all the battle royale games, everyone has done the same without thinking anything. Most game developers use this same idea and copy and paste . Some Game Developers Tried to make it unique by adding a launch pad from where players fly like a rocket and come to the map, but that too is not a bit different.

If you take the concept of a simple battle real game, then how many unique battle royale games can be made?  Some Gaming Companies Keep trying to make something unique, well, there is a feature of the building in Fortnite, abilities have come in Apex and re-spawn cards have come, and Warzone has increased the number of players too much. In Indus Battle Royale now you don’t have to survive till the end but take the Cosmos. And the team or player who gets it first will be the winner. So yes, this is not a game for campers but it is still the same because of landing, looting, and shooting.

They are too Repetitive

One problem is that their gameplay has become quite repetitive. This means: you jump out of a plane, get robbed, get killed or die, and repeat. In the beginning, the gameplay is thrilling and fun. Every time there is an element of surprise. Where are you landing, and what kind of players will you find in the front end, which is new every time?

Situations and scenarios keep coming but if you keep doing all these continuously for two-three years or more then you will get bored, yes bro battle royale games try to do something new. They are collaborating with franchisors even if it is from a movie. But you will get bored of battle royale games soon.

Over Innovation

Bro, so many updates have come, so many skin features have come that when I started playing Pubg mobile again after 2 years, I was surprised that all this has come in the game, now we eat herbs inside the game. We’re collecting coins for the vending machines, we’re getting the odd thing, I can’t believe it anymore, okay man, all these things are necessary to keep the game fresh, but it’s too much for me.
